Howdy, Every­one I didn’t write for a while, was out of time So, today I’ll try to refill those blank spots of my blogging.

About three weeks ago I wrote an arti­cle about Robert Mekis, if you remem­ber Well, I kind a liked that thing and decided that I should cre­ate a cat­e­gory “Artist” where I will be writ­ing about peo­ple who inspire me. I browsed through my Deviant Art pro­file and saw a com­ment on one of my pic­tures. I knew whose com­ment it was, cause I saw this person’s pic­tures a lot of times with a jeal­ous thoughts of how does he man­age to take such archi­tec­ture shots? Well, that’s his own know-how.

My busi­ness today is to show you a lit­tle piece of his art­works, cause it’s not pos­si­ble to show you all of them. So, ladies and gen­tle­men today’s star of my blog is Thierry Gen­til, bet­ter known in the world of dig­i­tal art as BosniaK.

I got to know him about 2 years ago when I acci­den­tally saw his pic­tures on DA. From that moment I was vis­it­ing his pro­file and gallery from time to time look­ing for updates. His pro­files can be found on:

If some­body already knows, who is BosniaK, then he can just skip this sec­tion, but those, who don’t know any­thing about him (I don’t think there are such peo­ple) — don’t pass this sec­tion

BosniaK (Thierry Gen­til) is a dig­i­tal artist from France. Ana­lyz­ing his art­works on deviantart (sorry, but he has no offi­cial web­site) gave me a lot of thoughts and one of them was that he wasn’t very famous from the begin­ning. His artist’s pro­file starts with an abstract wall­pa­pers and dig­i­tal designs. His first work was uploaded to deviantart on the 1st of May, 2001. That was a sim­ple wall­pa­per in a vio­let col­ors with a woman’s eyes on it. One and a half years later he got 3000 pageviews on DA. I think it was a really happy moment for him. In 2003 he uploaded his first under­ground photo shot and I think that was the moment when he really began feel­ing inter­est in pho­tog­ra­phy. From time to time he was upload­ing pho­tos as an alter­na­tive con­tent to his design and wallpapers.

I think, that May of 2003 was that moment when his art totally changed and pho­tog­ra­phy won the bat­tle against dig­i­tal art. He began shoot­ing and his pic­tures were becom­ing bet­ter and bet­ter. Today BosniaK is a 8 year old mem­ber of DA, his pic­tures are well known and could be eas­ily rec­og­nized because of their unusual per­spec­tive and strong sat­u­rated col­ors. Yes, he couldn’t deny abstrac­tion, so after his wall­pa­pers he began using this style in his photo shots.

What I like in his work is how reflec­tions are play­ing on the glass facade of sky­scrap­ers. His pho­tos always have an awe­some sky. On some pic­tures it has a very beau­ti­ful with a soft gra­di­ent + dark­en­ing in a cor­ner. On other pho­tos it seems that storm is com­ing cause sky is very emo­tional

Watch­ing BosniaK’s art gives a lot of inspi­ra­tion, espe­cially for those who is fond of archi­tec­tural pho­tog­ra­phy or just of abstract photos.

There is no need in writ­ing a lot about his art, because every­one will find some­thing beau­ti­ful and use­ful by him­self. So, I’m leav­ing you face to face with his art. Just promise me to look at all the pic­tures and while you will be watch­ing them, think of some­thing pure, clean and warm
